Fed by four alpine glaciers, Fox Glacier forces its path 13 kilometres down the Cook riverbed from the majestic Southern Alps. Visitors are also entranced by the beauty of early morning reflections of Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mount Tasman in the still waters of Lake Matheson. These are but two of the countless breathtaking scenes that draw visitors from the world over to experience Westland World Heritage Park on New Zealand’s West Coast.
As you take in the natural wonders of this area, Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier or Glacier Country are the perfect places to call home for a few nights. We look forward to sharing this very special part of the country with you.
