Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier offers guests during the peak summer months buffet and a la carte meal options to get you off to the best start for a day of site-seeing or to make the perfect end to a day of explorations.

Opening hours

Canavans Restaurant is open year-round for buffet breakfast from 6.30am until 9.30am and dinner from 6pm until 9pm while the Rata Bar is also open year-round from 4pm. The Glasshouse Restaurant is temporarily closed.

West Coast hospitality and hearty meals

Local food, wines and beer feature prominently on the hotel’s menus and drinks lists. Try some of our famous West Coast whitebait or sample some Westland lamb rump, and don’t forget to leave room for a refreshing Speights or Steinleger beer.
