  • Comfortable stay in a good location
We originally wanted to stay in the Quest hotel in Dunedin, but they were sold out and recommended the Scenic hotel. The room rate was a touch higher than we wanted, but overall it was a nice, clean, and comfortable stay. You do have to pay for valet parking which is a downside. The cafe next door (The Black Dog Cafe) is great!

  • Comfortable and a good location
We arrived on a rain ridden day and it rained through out the 3 day stay in Dunedin. The hotel room was very neat and beds are comfortable. This hotels towels are the softest I have ever seen among all the hotels in NZ's South Island. We did not try the internet so I cant say anything about the rate. The fridge did not carry any milk for my coffee - strange. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. A good experience for us at the 1st NZ hotel of our vacation. Our room faced the harbor and the view was quite nice. The location is very close to the Octagon and everything is within walking distance if it is not raining.
