  • Fab Stay
    The service at check in was spot on, very friendly staff. The room was immaculate with very comfortable beds, if the pillows didn't suit your sleeping habit you could call for a different pillow. The location is about a 15 min walk to the octagon, a bit awkward at times. We asked for the room to be serviced by a certain time in the morning so we could come back to shower and change for the Graduation ceremony. When we got back the bed was made and the bathroom tidied. The staff took care of the car parking at the hotel. We liked that it was clean and comfortable and quiet. The only fault I could find was that the restaurant was noisy and cold and the steak was a bit tough.

  • Excellent comfort, cleanliness and value
    Stayed with our 13 year old daughter for one night, and were very impressed with large, spotlessly clean room. Nice decor, good staff, and my only complaint would be high cost of internet access. I have stayed in many hotels for both business and pleasure, and this ticked all the essential boxes. Would definitely recommend to friends, and will definitely stay there again when we get a chance to re-visit Dunedin.

Opening hours

Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner are available in our cafe and restaurants including the Carlton Restaurant (open for breakfast from 6am until 10am); Ports O’Call Grill (evening brasserie dining from 6pm); Café D’Oro (more casual options from 7am until 6pm Monday-Sunday) and Ports O’Call Bar (bar snacks and drinks from 4.30pm until late all week).
