Back to Business Terms & Conditions
We welcome you to Back to Business, Scenic Hotel Group’s new online booking portal especially designed for small business. We ask that you read and understand these terms and conditions as they will apply to your acceptance as a member company of Back to Business and use of our website and any bookings you make with us using our online booking application.
All Heartland and Scenic Hotels in New Zealand are available for bookings via the Back to Business online booking portal.
No Annual Minimum Room Nights
We value your business and are not enforcing any restrictions on minimum annual room night production. We hope that you enjoy your stay so much at our Heartland and/or Scenic Hotels that you come back again and again and again!
Back to Business rates are non-commissionable and are available for company member’s direct bookings only on scenichotelgroup.co.nz. They cannot be booked through a retail/corporate travel agent nor are they available in the GDS or through any other OTA/company.
Deposit / Payment Policy
100% of the total reservation amount will be charged to your credit card at the time of making the reservation via the Back to Business online booking portal. The $10.00 off is automatically removed from the final amount shown for payment in New Zealand Dollars. This will be charged to your credit card or converted to your local currency by your credit card company. Scenic Hotel Group is not responsible for currency conversion and therefore any questions regarding currency conversion must be directed to your credit card company.
Zero Credit Card Booking Fees at Scenic Hotel Group
As the largest 100% New Zealand owned and operated hotel chain in the country, we are dedicated to making your stay with us as pleasant as possible. So when you book your accommodation online at scenichotelgroup.co.nz, you won’t find any extra charges for booking with your credit card. The price we quote via Back to Business is the price you pay. You’re welcome.
A cancellation charge will apply if you cancel your reservation after 4pm on the day of arrival at a Heartland or Scenic Hotel. Cancellations may be made by contacting our Central Reservations office by email firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone 0800 69 69 63 (within New Zealand) or +64 3 357 1919. The cancellation charge is the full amount of the first night’s accommodation for each room booked. You must contact Scenic Hotel Group to arrange a refund of the remainder of your prepayment should there be any other amount owing to you. It is not the responsibility of Scenic Hotel Group to contact you regarding any possible refunds.
Changes to your booked and confirmed check-in and check-out dates are available via Back to Business. Changes to dates must be made via our Central Reservations Office or the Hotel direct. Date changes are subject to Hotel room availability and may incur an increased accommodation rate.
As 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation, this will act as the guarantee for your reservation. The guarantee ensures that your reservation will be held from 2pm on the day of arrival until 10am the following morning. If you have not arrived at the Hotel by 10am the following day then the total of your complete prepayment is non-refundable. No refund for any unused accommodation will be given.
Scenic Hotel Group retains the right to cancel or relocate any bookings without notice.
New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included in all amounts shown and charged to your credit card. Scenic Hotel Group is required by New Zealand law to charge GST (currently 15%) on all goods sold or used within New Zealand.
By using this website and paying for your reservation by credit card you represent and warrant that you are a minimum 18 years of age to use this site and create legal binding obligations for any liability incurred. You agree that you will be personally and financially responsible for the use of this website and for anyone you have supplied your company’s Back to Business login information to or who otherwise has access to or uses your company’s login information.
Scenic Hotel Group has established limits on the number of rooms that are able to be booked over the internet on a single date at any one hotel which accepts reservations via this website. This limit will be 3 rooms per hotel per booking date.
Should you wish to reserve more than 3 rooms at any one Scenic Hotel Group on any one date then you should contact our Central Reservations Office or the hotel directly on our contact numbers supplied.
All rooms are sold on a twin share basis. There will be extra charges applicable if the number of adults in the room exceeds two. Children stay for free provided they are under 12 years of age and are using existing bedding in the room. Unless otherwise stated charges are for accommodation only and all other charges (such as food and beverages and other hotel services) will be paid at the completion of your stay at a Scenic Hotel Group hotel.
Check In Policy
Check in at all Scenic Hotel Group hotels is from 2pm New Zealand time on the day of arrival. You may attempt to check in prior to 2pm, but we do not guarantee that your room will be available for your use prior to this time.
You will be required to provide either a credit card imprint at the time of check in as security for any extra charges you may incur while at the hotel. If you do not have a credit card available at check in then you will be required to provide a cash deposit of $300 New Zealand dollars. There are no exceptions to this policy.
The person registering at Check In must be a minimum 18 years of age and at least one adult of 18 years or older staying in booked accommodation room(s).
Check Out Policy
Check out at all Scenic Hotel Group hotels is 10am New Zealand time on the day of departure. Requests may be made at the time of check in for an extension to this time and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The hotel’s decision on any extension of check out time is final. Extra charges may apply for any extension to check out time at the discretion of the individual hotel.
By using the Back to Business online booking portal you consent to be added to the Scenic Hotel Group business records and will from time to time receive emails, newsletters and offers of Specials and Packages available at Scenic Hotel Group. You may request your name be removed from these records by emailing our Sales office on email@example.com.
