Well known and much loved character hotel, Heartland Hotel Cotswold in Christchurch is embarking on a refurbishment programme within the hotel and is asking selected customers to trial the changes over the summer period.

Commencing late December 2018, Scenic Hotel Group will invite selected guests to participate in a revamped room experience with the view to providing feedback to the hotel on how they felt about the changes, what they loved the most and where further refinements may be welcome.

Scenic Hotel Group Managing Director, Brendan Taylor commented that “Providing an exceptional guest experience is at the heart of everything we do. What we think may be great should be confirmed by our loyal guests who have grown with us and have certain things that they hold dear, both about the brand and individual properties. Understanding what these are and how we might evolve our guest offering without compromising anything along the way is a key element of our company ethos.”

Located in the up-market suburb of Merivale on the city fringe, the Heartland Cotswold Hotel was brought into the Scenic Hotel Group portfolio in the early 1990’s and has been under the Heartland brand since 2009 where it is positioned as a three-star plus property.

The hotel’s unique Tudor theming comprises six wings, each based around a specific wife of King Henry VIII.  It has become a firm favourite with business and leisure guests alike, especially those seeking longer term stays where the hotel can deliver excellent leisure and accommodation facilities.

Taylor says the proposed development programme will retain the design integrity that was the dream of designer Tom Sharples and presents a replica of a 16th Century Coaching Inn.

True to its insignia of ‘Fabulous Intrate’, Heartland Hotel Cotswold stylishly presents the designers dream of “Stepping into a Fantasy.”

“The objective of the programme is to take inspiration from this sentiment with more sumptuous furnishings and enhanced in-room features,” says Taylor.  “Guests can expect to see rich textures, colour and heritage accents paired with state of the art facilities like fibre optic data system, personalised wine fridge and modern fittings.”

Following a period of guest trials and feedback, the hotel will then consolidate its plans moving forward for Heartland Hotel Cotswold.
