Heartland Hotel Croydon in the Southland town of Gore has caught the eye of judges in the national ‘Hospitality New Zealand Awards for Excellence’ and has been named as a finalist in the ‘Best New / Redeveloped Accommodation’ category.
Heartland Hotel Croydon General Manager, Mathew Brettell, says “It is a great testimony to the hotel that the recent refurbishment programme has been so well received and also caught the eye of the judges.”
Mathew explains that the progressive but extensive refurbishment programme was completed at the beginning of the year and makes excellent use of the hotel’s natural assets which includes 13-acres of park like setting.
The hotel has long been a favourite for locals and those from the surrounding areas of Dunedin, Queenstown and Invercargill who find the hotel’s central geographical location in the heart of the south excellent for weddings, family and business events.
Mathew says “the picture is now complete and our secret may soon be out!”
Heartland Hotel Croydon presents, 36 refreshed guest rooms, along with the region’s largest conferencing and event facilities. With a capacity for 400 guests across five, flexible meeting spaces, Heartland Hotel Croydon is also one of the larger scale facilities in the South Island.
Winners will be announced at the ‘Lion Awards for Excellence’ dinner, held at Auckland’s Sky City Convention Centre on the 13th of October 2016.
