Important changes to Return Rewards

As part of the group’s programme of development and product enhancement, we have undertaken a major review of our customer loyalty programme Return Rewards. 

What does this mean for our current programme?

The current Return Rewards programme will close on 9 June 2018, as we transition toward an innovative new programme. During this transition, we will be offering existing Return Rewards members a 10% discount* across all 18 properties within the Scenic Hotel Group. This includes Scenic Hotels, Resorts and Suites, Heartland Hotels, and Te Waonui Forest Retreat.

Members are encouraged to redeem their points by 5pm Friday 8 June 2018, however for those who do not have the opportunity to do so, we will be offering a transfer of point balances into vouchers available for redemption within Scenic Hotel Group.

How many points do I have?

You can find your balance on your most recent monthly statement (emailed to you on 8 May 2018) or contact our Reservations team on 03 357 1919 or return.rewards@scenicgroup.co.nz

What can I get for my points?

Please refer to our online Redemption Catalogue for more infomation on what you can redeem with your points.

If I don’t have enough points for a reward can I top them up?

Yes you can.  Any gap between points and the reward you want can be topped up at the time of booking.

Blocks of 200 points are available for $10, with a maximum of 400 points available to purchase.  

When do I have to use my points by and how far in advance can I book?

You will need to make any new bookings with your Return Rewards points by 5pm Friday 8 June 2018.  Bookings can be made for up to 12 months in advance of the booking date.

What will happen to my leftover points?

Any leftover points will be converted to Scenic Hotel Group Vouchers.

What about any existing bookings already made using my points?

Any bookings made using Return Rewards points will remain unchanged. If you want to amend your booking please contact our Central Reservations team who can make the change subject to availability.

Refunds or voucher redemptions will not be made to cancelled bookings.

How many vouchers will I get?

We will contact you after 11 June 2018 to advise you of your final points balances and equivalent vouchers you’ll receive.

How long will the vouchers be valid for?

Stays/redemptions must be completed within 12 months from voucher issue date.

Will there be a new rewards/VIP programme?

We are in the process of pursuing options and ideas for a new loyalty programme, and will be asking members through an online survey for feedback on what you would like in a rewards programme. 

As an interim measure, we have an exclusive member only discount for Return Rewards members which you can use on any of our properties.  Please contact our Central Reservations team to receive 10% off the best available room rate*, effective for bookings from 10 June 2018.
