Seasonal Closure

Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier accommodation is closed for the 2025 winter season from 1 May to 30 September 2025, The White Pub Bar & Café will remain open over winter. We have two alternative accommodation options for visitors to the Glacier Country region; 3 star Heartland Hotel Glacier Country (located just across the road from Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier) or alternatively 5 Star luxury retreat – Legacy Te Waonui Hotel Franz Josef which is located 30 minutes drive from Fox Glacier in the township of Franz Josef/Waiau. We look forward to reopening in the spring and welcoming visitors back to this amazing destination from 1st October 2025.

Existing Guest Bookings

Guests with existing Heartland Hotel Fox Glacier room bookings over this period will be relocated to Heartland Hotel Glacier Country. Our reservations team will be in touch with guests prior to arrival with the updated booking information.

Our hotel offers warm hospitality and a cosy setting for people exploring this rugged adventurer’s paradise. The White Pub Bar & Café has a large screen TV and pool table for some fun times getting to know the locals and other guests alike, while the free WiFi ensure that you can share your stories of the adventures with loved ones at home.
