Air Conditioning
It is recommended that the machine is set to “Auto”. In this mode there is a maximum temperature (24°C) and a minimum temperature (18°C) and the air conditioner will keep the room between these temperatures.
During cooler months, please be aware that upon starting up, the machine must come up to temperature before generating warm air; this could take up to 5 minutes.
Baggage Storage
Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.
Check-out
Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.
Child Accessories
High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.
Dry Cleaning
Same day service available on weekdays. Items sent after 8.30am will be returned the following day. Not available on public holidays. Please deliver to reception before 8.30am.
Electricity
Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25.00 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.
Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

Housekeeping
Our housekeeping department is more than happy to provide you with additional supplies to make your stay comfortable. Non-slip bath mats are available on request, please contact reception for assistance.
Laundry
There is a guest laundry situated on the top floor of the hotel. Machines are coin operated, please contact reception for costs. Reception can also provide you with change.
Lost and Found
Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.
Parking
Guests staying with us are welcome to park their cars at the rear of the hotel. Overflow parking is available at the Nativity Church across the road from reception: please put a hotel business card from reception on your dash board.
Payment Options
Scenic Hotel Marlborough accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.
All accounts settled by credit card will incur a 1.5% credit card surcharge.
Pets
Scenic Hotel Marlborough has two pet friendly rooms available for booking by prior arrangement. Pets are not permitted in other guest rooms except for registered Guide Dogs.
Post Office
Letters to be mailed may be left at reception. A courier service is available Monday – Friday.

Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. A luggage porter, transport arrangements, and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Restaurant & Bar
Savvy Restaurant is located off the main hotel lobby and offers a full a la carte menu, including children’s menu.
Breakfast is available in the Savvy Restaurant & Bar Monday to Friday: 6:30am – 9:30am and Saturday 7:00am – 10:00am
Dinner is available in the Savvy Restaurant & Bar daily 5:30pm – 9:00pm
Savvy Bar is located in the main hotel lobby offering a full range of wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks and bar snacks. Bar snacks are available between 4:00pm – 9:00pm
View Menus
Room Service
All menu items are available via room service at service times. Selections from the 24-hour room service menu can be made at any time. Please place your order by dialling ‘0’. Please note a $5 room service fee applies.
Safe Deposit Facilities
For your convenience, in-room safes are provided in all hotel rooms. We recommend using this to store cash and valuables during your stay with us. Safe deposit facilities are also available at reception. There is no charge for this service.
Spa Pool and Sauna
Spa Pool and Sauna Available from 7am – 10:30pm daily. There are no charges to use the spa pool and sauna, but bookings are required and you have private use for one hour. The sauna takes 40 minutes to heat up and the reception team can turn this on in advance with prior notice. Please contact reception to book. Pool towels and showering facilities are available in the spa and sauna complex.
Swimming Pool
Open daily (October – April) 7.00am – 10:30pm. The swimming pool is solar heated and pool towels are available at the pool.
