Telephone Charges

All local calls from your room are charged at local rates plus hotel connection charges. The only numbers that are free to call begin with 0800, 0508, 083210, 0125, 0124 and 083033. Please check with reception before proceeding if you are unsure.

All international phone calls will be charged at international rates plus a hotel connection fee.

Baggage Storage

Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.

Check-out

Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.

Child Minding and Child Accessories

A child minder can be arranged for you with 48 hours prior notice; subject to availability. High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.

Dry Cleaning

A dry cleaning service is available Monday – Friday except for public holidays. Please either deliver to reception or dial ‘0’ for collection from your room. A same day service is available Monday – Friday if items are collected before 8:30am.

Electricity

Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.

Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

There are two laundries available for guests to use — one upstairs beside room 16, and the other beside room 40. Please see reception for full details. Machines are free for you to use and organic laundry powder can be purchased from reception at a cost of $2.

Lost and Found

Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.

Newspapers

A complimentary morning newspaper is available for delivery to your room Monday – Saturday. Please order these from reception.

Parking

Guests staying with us are welcome to park their cars on the premises at their own risk.

Payment Options

Heartland Hotel Croydon accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.

A 1.5% surcharge on all credit card payments applies.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the hotel, guest rooms, car park or left in cars overnight. Exceptions are made for registered Guide Dogs.

Post Office

Postage stamps and postcards for mail items within New Zealand or overseas can be purchased from reception. Letters to be mailed may also be left at reception. A courier service is available Monday – Friday.

Reception

Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Luggage porter, transport arrangements, forward bookings and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Please contact reception with any questions or to discuss your requirements.

Restaurant and Bar

The Blazing Copper Restaurant & Bar is perfect for a casual meal, a catch up with friends or to sit outside in the summer months and take in the park-like surroundings whilst enjoying some Southland cuisine.

The Blazing Copper Restaurant and Bar is open daily for buffet and a la carte breakfast 6.30am – 9.00am Monday – Friday and 7.00am – 10.00am on Saturday & Sunday. Lunch from 12.00pm – 2.00pm and a la carte dining from 6.00pm – 9.00pm.

We also offer a kids menu, making it the perfect place to enjoy a family experience.

Alternatively, The Lodge Public Bar is also within the hotel grounds and open from 3.00pm until late, Monday – Saturday.

Room Service

Please refer to the room service section of the food and beverage menu in your room. A $5 room service delivery surcharge applies. For details please contact reception or dial ‘827’ from your room.

Safe Deposit Facilities

For your convenience complimentary safe deposit facilities are available at reception. We recommend using this service for cash and valuables during your stay with us. The hotel does not take responsibility for valuables left in your room. There is no charge for the safe deposit service.

Your in-room television has a great variety of channels for your viewing pleasure. Please turn on the set for options or contact reception if you need any assistance.
