Being a contributing member of a small community and having consideration for the wider environment is at the heart of everything Heartland Hotel Croydon does.

At a local community level, Heartland Hotel Croydon supports a range of community charities as well as assisting with developing the hospitality careers or local young people by working collaboratively with regional training institutions.

Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, Heartland Hotel Croydon supports ‘NZ Made’ initiatives by using local and New Zealand made wherever possible. This extends to food and beverage offerings as well as being an integral part of the hotel’s fittings and furnishings.

Heartland Hotel Croydon supports sustainable living and actively encourages guests to participate in simple but highly effective hotel initiatives to help keep New Zealand Green and uphold the hotel’s Qualmark Enviro Silver award status. This Government initiative is New Zealand tourism’s official quality assurance programme and provides an operational benchmark for the tourism industry as well as guests.

  • Monitoring of energy usage and conservation
  • Comprehensive recycling and waste reduction programme such as

conversion of cooking oils into bio diesel and composting.
