Telephone Charges

All local calls from your room are charged at local rates plus hotel connection charges. The only numbers that are free to call begin with 0800, 0508, 083210, 0125, 0124 and 083033.

All international phone calls will be charged at international rates plus a hotel connection fee.

General Hotel Information

Baggage Storage

Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.

Check-out

Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.

Child Minding and Child Accessories

A child minder can be arranged for you with 48 hours prior notice; subject to availability. High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.

Dry Cleaning

A dry cleaning service is available daily except for Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Bags are available in your wardrobe. Please complete the details and deliver to reception before 8.30am or call reception for collection from your room. Items sent after 8.30am will be returned the following day.

Electricity

Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.

Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

Laundry

Guest laundries are located on the 2nd and 4th floors of the hotel. These are coin operated at $2 per wash and $2 per dry cycle. You can purchase washing powder from the automatic dispensing units in the guest laundry at a cost of $2.

Lost & Found

Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.

Parking

Guests staying with us are welcome to park their cars on the premises. Please note that parking spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Payment Options

Scenic Hotel Te Pania accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.

All accounts settled by credit card will incur a 1.5% credit card surcharge.

Dog Friendly

We are a dog friendly hotel. Please contact the hotel direct before a reservation is made to ensure a suitable room can be allocated. Conditions apply. Exceptions are made for registered Guide Dogs.

Post

Postage stamps for mail items within New Zealand or overseas can be purchased from reception. Letters to be mailed may be left at reception. A courier service is available Monday – Friday.

Reception

Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Luggage porter, transport arrangements, forward bookings, and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Please contact reception with any questions or to discuss your requirements.

Restaurant and Bar

The Exchange Brasserie and Bar is located on the ground level, enclosed by large glass windows that allow you to look out to the bay and Marine Parade. In summer the brasserie is extended to the outside area so guests and locals alike can enjoy alfresco dining and enjoy the balmy Hawke’s Bay weather and relaxed atmosphere.

The Brasserie is open for a la carte dinner from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, and breakfast from 7.00am-9.00am.

Insomniac menu available from 9.30pm – 6.30am

Room Service

Please refer to the room service section of the food and beverage menu in your room. Please place your order by dialling ‘7009’ from your room.

Room service breakfast and dinner menus are available, as per your welcome email or please contact reception.

Safe Deposit Facilities and In-Room Safe

For your convenience there is an in-room safe located in your wardrobe. We recommend using this service for cash and valuables during your stay with us. There is no charge for this service.

Alternatively there is a safe deposit facility available at reception.

Your in-room television has a great variety of channels for your viewing pleasure. Please turn on the set for options or contact reception if you need any assistance.
