Adaptors
Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.
Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.
Baggage Storage
Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.
Boardroom
Our on-site Ocean View boardroom is available for guests and locals to book 7 days a week. Enquire at reception for more details and pricing.
Check-out
Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.
Children
High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.
We can recommend local child minding providers on request.
Activity Smarty Bags can be provided at reception or in the restaurant. Suitable for ages 3 – 10 years.
Dog Friendly
We are a dog friendly hotel. Please contact the hotel direct before a reservation is made to ensure a suitable room can be allocated. Conditions apply. Exceptions are made for registered Guide Dogs. Additional cleaning surcharge applies.
Dry Cleaning
A dry cleaning service is available daily except for Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Bags are available in your wardrobe. Please complete the details and deliver to reception before 8.30am or call reception for collection from your room. Items sent after 8.30am will be returned the following day.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Type 2 Pay as you go EV chargers are available in our car park. You will need to provide your own charging cable to use this charger. For more information on how this charger works click here.

Fitness Centre
All guests staying at Scenic Hotel Te Pania will receive complimentary access to the Ocean Spa gym facilities that are located directly opposite our hotel. Please collect a Gym Access Card from reception. There are limited cards available.
Charges apply for the spa pools.
Free Parking
Guests staying with us are welcome to park their cars on the premises. Please note that parking spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed.
Housekeeping
Our housekeeping department is more than happy to provide you with additional supplies to make your stay comfortable. Please contact reception for assistance.
If you do not wish for your room to be serviced, please place the DND sign on your door.
Daily housekeeping services are provided from 9:00am.
In-Room Safe
For your convenience there is an in-room safe located in your wardrobe. We recommend using this service for cash and valuables during your stay with us. There is no charge for this service.
Laundry
Guest laundries are located on the 2nd and 4th floors of the hotel. These are coin operated at $2 per wash and $2 per dry cycle. You can purchase washing powder from the automatic dispensing units in the guest laundry at a cost of $2.
Lost & Found
Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.
Newspapers
Copies of Hawke’s Bay Today and NZ Herald can be ordered through reception on check-in. Please advise reception before 8:00pm if you would like a complimentary newspaper delivered to your room.
Payment Options
Scenic Hotel Te Pania accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.
All accounts settled by credit card will incur a 1.5% credit card surcharge.
Post
Postage stamps for mail items within New Zealand or overseas can be purchased from reception. Letters to be mailed may be left at reception. A courier service is available Monday – Friday.
Reception
Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Luggage porter, transport arrangements, forward bookings, and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Please contact reception with any questions or to discuss your requirements.
Restaurant and Bar
The Curve is open for a la carte and buffet breakfast 6:30am – 10:00am weekdays, and 7:00am – 10:00am on weekends.
Dinner is available from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, 7 days a week for hotel guests and locals alike. Reservations are encouraged.
Barista coffee is available all-day from 6:30am.
Boxed takeaway breakfast and lunch can be requested at reception by 6pm the day prior.

Room service breakfast and dinner menus are available, as well as a 24 hour menu.
Please hand your completed breakfast room service menu to reception by 11pm the night prior.

Personal essentials and gift pack amenities are available for purchase at reception.

Your in-room television has a great variety of channels for your viewing pleasure. Please turn on the set for options or contact reception if you need any assistance.
