Telephone Charges

All local calls from your room are charged at local rates plus hotel connection charges. The only numbers that are free to call begin with 0800, 0508, 083210, 0125, 0124 and 083033. Please check with reception before proceeding if you are unsure.

All international phone calls will be charged at international rates plus a hotel connection fee.

Baggage Storage

Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.

Check-out

Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.

Child Accessories

High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.

Dry Cleaning

Due to our remote location dry cleaning services are unavailable. However you are welcome to use the guest laundry on the ground floor of the Douglas Wing.

Electricity

Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $20 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.

Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

Housekeeping

Our Housekeeping department is more than happy to provide you with additional supplies to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For additional blankets, pillows, towels or similar needs, including hot water bottles, please contact reception by dialling ‘0’.

Laundry

The guest laundry is located on the ground floor of the main block. The washing and drying machines are operated by $2 coins. An iron and ironing board is also available. Organic laundry powder can be purchased from reception for $2.

Lost and Found

Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.

Parking

Heartland Hotel Glacier Country has ample on-site parking for guests. For your safety and security we recommend locking your vehicle overnight and do not leave any valuables in your car.

Payment Options

Heartland Hotel Glacier Country accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, all major credit cards, or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.

A 1.5% surcharge on all credit card payments applies.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the hotel, guest rooms, car park or left in cars overnight. Exceptions are made for registered Guide Dogs.

Luggage porter, transport arrangements, forward bookings and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Restaurant and Bar

Sir William Fox Restaurant and Bar
At the end of a day exploring the glaciers or admiring the natural beauty of this region, Heartland Hotel Glacier Country has a cosy and welcoming Restaurant and Bar perfect for unwinding and relaxing with a glass of wine or a tasty bar meal.

The fully licensed Sir William Fox Restaurant and Bar, complete with a welcoming open fire and is open for breakfast from 6:00am – 10:00am and dinner from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

Heartland Hotel Glacier Country is unable to offer room service, due to the unique nature of our property. Please call reception on ‘0’ to discuss any special requirements you may have.

Safe Deposit Facilities

For your convenience complimentary safety deposit facilities are available at reception. We recommend using this service for cash and valuables during your stay with us. The hotel does not take responsibility for valuables left in your room. There is no charge for the safe deposit service.
