Scenic Hotel Group have had a long term partnership with the foundation, supporting many initiatives like Wig Wednesday and the Christchurch Child Cancer Gala evenings. The Child Cancer Foundation is a New Zealand charity who provide support to children and their families on their cancer journey. They focus on looking after the family, not the cancer, so together they can concentrate on love and support for one another.
Climate changes impacts us all. We are serious about our role in decarbonising the New Zealand Tourism Industry, ensuring our beautiful unique environment remains this way for our people and our guests for years to come. As a group, we have made significant changes in the way we operate, measure and reduce our impact, and so have partnered with Toitu Envirocare to validate and authenticate our work, as well as help us continue this momentum into the future.
Our properties around the country invest back into their local areas, through different charity initiatives, supporting local events, and raising awareness. Charities like Orokonui Ecosanctuary near Dunedin, Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary in Marlborough, and Save the Kiwi Charitable Trust have all been recipients of donations through guest and staff initiatives, as have local clean up actions, and food services.
