Baggage Storage
Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.
Check-out
Check-out time is 10.00am. Should you wish to keep your room after this time please contact reception for availability. Late check-out may incur an additional charge.
Child Accessories
High chairs and portable cots are available for guest use. Please contact reception to discuss your requirements.
Dry Cleaning
A dry cleaning service is available. However, due to our remote location there is a three day turnaround for this service. Please contact reception for more information.
Electricity
Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25.00 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check-out to receive the refund.
Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

Our housekeeping department is more than happy to provide you with additional supplies to make your stay comfortable. Please contact reception for assistance.
Laundry
The guest laundry is situated between the Selbourne and Landsborough blocks. Machines are coin operated and cost $3.00 wash, $3.00 dry (accepts $2 + $1 coins to operate). Complimentary laundry liquid is automatically dispensed once wash cycle starts.
Lost and Found
Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.
Parking
Heartland Hotel Haast has ample on-site parking for guests. For your safety and security we recommend locking your vehicle overnight and do not leave any valuables in your car. A Tesla charging station is available, please enquire at reception.
Payment Options
Heartland Hotel Haast accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.
A 1.5% surcharge on all credit card payments applies.
Pets
We have two pet friendly rooms available for booking by prior arrangement. Pets are not permitted in other guest rooms except for registered Guide Dogs.
Post Office
Postage stamps and postcards for mail items within New Zealand or overseas can be purchased from reception. Letters to be mailed may also be left at reception. A courier service is available Monday – Friday.

Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Valet parking, luggage porter, transport arrangements, forward bookings and suggestions for sightseeing and activities are just the beginning of the services we can provide. Please contact reception with any questions or to discuss your requirements.
Restaurant and Bar
The Frontier Café and Bar operates on an all day menu featuring true New Zealand hearty meals using local ingredients like whitebait and venison.
The Waiatoto Restaurant and Bar opens when the hotel is in high demand, otherwise breakfast is generally served in the Frontier Café. The Arawhata Bar is open seasonally in conjunction with the Waiatoto Restaurant and Bar, and offers a cosy escape to while away the evening.

Please refer to the room service section on the food and beverage menu in your room. A $5 room service delivery surcharge applies. Breakfast 7:00am – 10:00am and dinner 5:00pm – 8:30pm.
Safe Deposit Facilities
For your convenience complimentary safe deposit facilities are available at reception. We recommend using this service for cash and valuables during your stay with us. The hotel does not take responsibility for valuables left in your room. There is no charge for the safe deposit service.

Your in-room television has a variety of channels for your viewing pleasure. Please turn on the set for options or contact reception if you need any assistance.
