Telephone Charges

All local calls from your room are charged at local rates plus hotel connection charges. The only numbers that are free to call begin with 0800, 0508, 083210, 0125, 0124 and 083033. Please check with reception before proceeding if you are unsure.

All international phone calls will be charged at international rates plus a hotel connection fee.

General Hotel Information

Air Conditioning

Please ensure your unit is off if you are leaving the room for a long period of time. For the units to operate at their best, all windows and doors must be closed and units may take up to 10 minutes to start working Please contact reception if you require assistance.

Baggage Storage

Guests are welcome to leave baggage at reception prior to check-in or while you wait for transfers after check-out. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly reception staff.

Business Services

Business services are available through reception at a nominal charge. Print/scan/copy services are available.

Check-out

Please ensure you have checked out of your room and delivered your key to reception by 10am. Failure to return your keys will result in a charge of $35 for a swipe card and $35 for a set of keys.

Dry Cleaning

A dry cleaning service is available Monday – Friday (except on public holidays). Please deliver to reception before 9am or call reception for collection from your room. A same day service is available on weekdays, and Friday evening for Saturday morning service. Items sent after 9am will be returned the following day. Charges apply.

Electricity

Electrical plug adaptors are available for loan from reception. A refundable deposit of $25.00 is required, added to your room account, or by cash payment. The adaptor must be returned to reception on check- out to receive the refund.

Electricity is supplied at 240V AC, 50Hz.

Housekeeping

Rooms are serviced between 10am – 3pm daily, based on our Housekeeping for the Planet policy. Please be aware that our team is not permitted to move any personal items or electrical devices, therefore the level of servicing completed in your room may be limited by accessibility to beds or furniture. Our housekeeping department is more than happy to provide you with additional supplies to make your stay comfortable. Please contact reception for assistance.

Laundry

A washing machine and dryer are available in the guest laundry located at the back of the motel units (see reception for directions). This facility is open until 9pm daily. Washing and drying is $4.00 per load, laundry powder $2.00 (dispenser in laundry). Please note you will require two $2 coins for each load. We are unable to give cash out, but happy to exchange notes for coins. Each load takes approximately 30 minutes (dryer may take longer depending on load size). An iron and ironing board are provided in our guest laundry.

Lost & Found

Please contact reception for assistance. Found items are stored by the hotel for three months. After this time goods are donated to local community groups.

Payment Options

Heartland Ambassador Hotel Hamilton accepts all major credit cards or cash payment in NZ$. All room charges must be cleared on check-out.

A 1.5% surcharge on all credit card payments applies.

Pets

We are dog friendly and have allocated rooms available for booking by prior arrangement. Pets are not permitted in other guest rooms except for registered Guide Dogs.

Pool Complex

Our pool is open until 9pm daily. Please be conscious of other guests and keep excessive noise to a minimum. Extra towels are available and can be collected at reception.

There is no glass permitted within the pool complex, please see reception for some plastic cups.

To assist us with our power conservation efforts please ensure the hot tub lid is replaced after use.

Please note: Our pool complex has no life guard service. Children are not permitted without adult supervision within the complex.

If you wish to use the BBQ please see reception for the equipment. This will need to be cleaned after you have finished.

Post Office

Pre-stamped postage or prepaid courier bags can be left at reception for collection.

Reception

Our friendly, helpful staff wish to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Please contact reception with any questions or to discuss your requirements. Our reception team is available 24 hours.

Breakfast

Our in-house breakfast restaurant is located next to reception. Breakfast is from 7:00am – 10:00am. If you would like a continental style breakfast before 7:00am this can be arranged and picked up the night before.

Room Service

Room service is available only during our breakfast service times. Please place your tray outside your door after you finish to be collected. Your room service menu is located at the back of the compendium.

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in rooms and the balconies of the Tower Building. Please use the ashtrays provided at the ground floor entries. If you are in a motel unit, an ashtray is provided outside the sliding door.

Television

Your in-room television has a variety of channels for your viewing pleasure. Please turn on the set for options or contact reception if you need any assistance.

Please contact reception to arrange your wake-up call.
