This season’s Home Grown Dishes have been created by our talented chef Michael Farrell. Michael has honed his skills with Scenic Hotel Group for 15 years and loves show-casing the bounty of Hawkes Bay produce at Scenic Hotel Te Pania.

Pumpkin Risotto – $32.00
Main | Vegan (garlic & onion free, dairy free)
Rich pumpkin risotto with Angel Food dairy free feta and baby spinach. Topped with maple smoked almonds, vegetable crisps, and local olive oil.

Arataki Honey Ice cream Meringue Cake – $16.00
Layers of delicious meringue and Arataki Honey ice cream. Served with pumpkin compote and a lemon, ginger and honey gel.

The Nikau Restaurant & Bar is located within Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands main reception building on the corner of MacMurray Road and Seaview Road. Parking is available on Grey’s lane or on MacMurray Road. Visitors are welcome to dine at the restaurant – avoid disappointment by making a booking in advance.

Opening hours: Open 7 days a week for Breakfast (weekdays from 6:30am to 9.30am, 6.30am to 10am on weekends) and Dinner (from 5pm to 8pm)
