Canavans Restaurant provides hearty West Coast fare, with local produce, wine and beer featured on their menus. Canavans Restaurant is available by reservation only, and the open-plan design means it is the ideal location for groups and functions.
This season’s Home Grown Dishes have been created by our talented chef Danda Rao, head chef at the Runway Restaurant, Heartland Hotel Auckland Airport.
Akaroa King Salmon Tikka Tacos – $23.00

Pillowy full of flavour Pasta Vera kumara and horopito gnocchi in a spicy Arrabbiata sauce. Sweet and salty walnuts add crunch while creamy Stracciatella cheese and fresh basil elevate every bite.

Canavans Restaurant & Moa Bar is located within Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier main reception building. Parking is available within the property or on the surrounding streets. Locals and visitors to Franz Josef are welcome to dine at the restaurant – avoid disappointment by making a booking in advance.
