Scenic Hotel Te Pania Napier has rolled out the welcome mat with all the extras to guests and their dogs.

Scenic Hotel Te Pania General Manager, Kerryann Gibbs describes the hotel’s move as “progressive in delivering a total holiday experience for guests and their fur friends.”

Whilst the appeal is all-round, Kerryann says “the move gives comfort and peace of mind to those who are reluctant to take a holiday because of having to leave their beloved pets as well as for those who’s preferred choice of travelling companion is their much loved dog.”

With its waterfront location, Scenic Hotel Te Pania is ideally suited to stepping out and walking along the promenade or in one of the region’s dog friendly parks. Kerryann points to this as being a health benefit of holidaying with a dog in terms of getting out and about. “For many people their daily exercise revolves around walking the dog, and they are often at a loss for self motivated exercise when they don’t have their dog.”

The stress-busting benefits of being with a pet are well documented and Kerryann also says that this new initiative reflects the family focus of the hotel and so it is only fitting that the fur family be included in that focus too.

The “woofers welcome” extended by Scenic Hotel Te Pania is sure to get everyone’s tail wagging. A dog friendly room carries a nominal surcharge of $25.00 to cover incidentals such as bedding and cleaning and at this stage must be booked directly with the hotel and subject to limited availability.
